The University of Akron’s College of Business Building is an iconic college of the university, with the university offering courses for business since 1916, and the building as we know it being around since 1991. However, the university was faced with a problem; students of the building were not engaged enough with the building, typically leaving it to study elsewhere immediately after classes. A group of us at the Myers School of art were tasked with creating a redesign of it’s hallways that would promote engagement with them, bringing students back to business with the College of Business, and tying it’s old building’s aesthetics together with it’s recent edition in 2018.
